DLC coating and film formation method

I will explain the "ion source deposition," "PCVD," and "FAD" that we are conducting!

DLC film formation utilizes technologies such as PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition). Ion source deposition is a type of PVD where a filament is heated to ionize hydrocarbon gas using thermal electrons, which then collide with the substrate under a potential difference to create a coating. PCVD (Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition) involves ionizing hydrocarbon gas in a plasma region and colliding it with the substrate under a potential difference to form a coating. FAD (Filtered Arc Deposition) uses a magnetic field filter to draw only ionized carbon into the substrate for film formation. [Film formation methods we employ] ■ Ion source deposition ■ PCVD (Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition) ■ FAD (Filtered Arc Deposition) *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Useful Materials] Basic Knowledge of Surface Treatment DLC That You Can't Ask Now *Materials Provided

For those considering the longevity and durability enhancement of metals, resins, and rubber. Introducing the characteristics and manufacturing methods of DLC.

Our company conducts DLC coating using the know-how and equipment for manufacturing printing rolls. We can also form films at low temperatures around 100°C, and surface treatment is possible for not only metal parts but also for resins and rubber. This contributes to improvements in wear resistance, sliding properties, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and gas barrier properties. It also excels in biocompatibility. This document provides a clear and easy-to-understand introduction to the features and manufacturing methods of "DLC coating" for those who are new to the topic. [Contents] ■ What is DLC? ■ Features of DLC ■ Manufacturing methods of DLC ■ Classification of DLC ■ Measurement of DLC ■ DLC from Think Laboratory *You can view it via PDF download. Please feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Case Study Collection of DLC Coating Applications for Cutting Tools, Molds, and Machine Parts

Significant improvements in wear resistance and slip resistance! A booklet full of applications and selection examples for DLC coating.

"DLC coating" is a surface treatment technology that possesses all the characteristics required for parts that need mechanical relative motion such as rotation, sliding, and reciprocation. It is effective for coating cutting tools, various molds, and automotive and machine parts. Currently, we are offering a booklet that summarizes examples of applications and selection methods for utilizing DLC coating, which clearly explains the features and uses of DLC just by reading it. 【Features of DLC Coating】 ■ Hard and smooth ■ Low friction coefficient under non-lubricated conditions ■ Does not wear or damage the counterpart material during sliding (low counterpart aggressiveness) ■ Chemically inert and stable ⇒ does not cause seizure, adhesion, or welding ■ Not affected even in corrosive environments For more details, please request materials or view the PDF data from the download.
